Kevin Hogan remains the last survivor of the Browns’ quarterbacks last year, and it seems his days in Cleveland are now numbered.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Hogan has requested and received permission from the team for his agent to seek a trade out of Cleveland.

Hogan, 25, was a former fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016. However, he was waived by the Chiefs before playing a single game for them and was subsequently added to the Browns practice squad.

He played eight games in his two years with the Browns, going 60-of-101 for 621 yards, four touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He had his best performance in a Browns jersey last year against the New York Jets. He came in for DeShone Kizer and proceeded to go 16-of-19 for 194 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Unfortunately, the Browns still lost 17-14.

Nevertheless, that impressive performance earned Hogan his first and only start for the team against the Houston Texans. He went 20-of-37 for 140 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in a 33-17 Browns defeat.

When Hogan leaves, the Browns will have completely overhauled their quarterback depth chart this offseason. Kizer and Cody Kessler are already gone after they were traded to the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively, while Tyrod Tylor, Drew Staton, and a top quarterback prospect are set to take their place.

The Browns received just a conditional seventh-round pick from the Jags for Kessler, a former third-rounder. Based on that meager return, it seems unlikely that the Browns can get much more for Hogan in the trade market.
