Following the Cleveland Browns' 21-21 tie in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, much has been made about star wide receiver Josh Gordon possibly being placed in the starting lineup despite head coach Hue Jackson stating he wouldn't get that spot in Week 1. Todd Haley finds the whole topic hilarious.

Cleveland's offensive coordinator finds it hilarious that the team is still receiving questions about the entire situation, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

This was a completely overblown matter that doesn't have a significant impact on the Browns' future on the field. Gordon wasn't with the team for much of training camp and the preseason, so the organization wanted him to get his feet under him before getting a lot of in-game snaps. The Browns wanted Gordon to earn that role back, which would be expected given his immense talent when he's on the field. There was no negative pushback; rather, it is just a protocol that was set in place to help push Gordon to perform well.

Gordon proved to be a major factor in his limited action last Sunday, as he hauled in one of three targets for a 17-yard touchdown reception that tied the game up with just under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. There is a strong connection between Taylor and Gordon that the team could look to lean on moving forward, especially in the red zone.

The task now is simply getting the former Pro Bowler more involved in the passing game so that he can be a major factor. He looks to be past his previous hamstring injury that arose shortly after returning to the team.
