The Cleveland Browns and Odell Beckham Jr. are in a serious dilemma. Per Ian Rapaport, the team excused Beckham Jr. from practice for non-injury-related matters and it appears he will be away from the team for the rest of the season.

The 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year has struggled to find the success he once had during his stint with the New York Giants. Since joining the Browns in 2019, injuries and chemistry issues have prevented Beckham from impacting the offense in a dynamic way. Whereas many fans and critics looked at this season for the former star to showcase his high-level abilities, this certainly hasn't been the case. Instead, OBJ has no touchdowns to his name and has been continuously targeted less by his quarterback, Baker Mayfield.

The tipping point seemed to be in a Browns loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8, where he caught just one pass for a gain of a mere six yards. It seems Beckham has lost faith in his quarterback, and Mayfield himself doesn't wish to throw the ball to his top offensive weapon.

After failing to trade OBJ at the trade deadline, it seems as if the Browns have little hope for a future with the wide receiver in mind. They will evidently be moving on without him for the time being.
