The New Orleans Saints may have gotten the better of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their first two meetings this season, but this time, linebacker Devin White believes that they have a way to stop quarterback Drew Brees in their Divisional Round game.

White believes that the key to slow down Brees and the Saints offense is to be physical with his targets even before they catch his passes, according to James Palmer of NFL Network.

The 22-year old revealed that the Buccaneers need to be aggressive against the Saints’ wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs at the line of scrimmage to throw their timing off and avoid letting them catch passes down the field.

Tampa Bay boasts one of the league’s defenses, allowing an average of just 327.1 yards per game (6th in the NFL) while limiting teams to just 22.2 points per game (8th in the NFL). However, they will be facing a Saints offense that scored an average of 30.1 points per game during the regular season and will have wide receiver Michael Thomas and running back Alvin Kamara, two of the 42-year old Brees’ favorite targets.

As Saints fans know, against the Washington Football Team in the Wild Card Round last week, the Buccaneers allowed their opponents to finish with 507 total yards in their 31-23 win.

White, who was named to the Second Team All-Pro, has nine sacks, 97 solo tackles, 16 quarterback hits, four passes deflected, and one forced fumble so far this season. The LSU product hopes that his team can use their strategy to slow down Brees and the Saints as they look to finally win one against New Orleans and continue their playoff run.

The winner of the Bucs-Saints game will visit Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in next Sunday's NFC Championship Game at 3:05 p.m. Eastern time. It's the first NFC title game Rodgers will play at Lambeau Field.
