Mike Evans will be asked a ton of questions about the upcoming Super Bowl between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was recently asked about his basketball skills. While speaking about his basketball experience, Evans compared himself to Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat.

Butler isn't the quickest, strongest, or most athletic player on the floor for the Miami Heat. However, Butler is always going to play with maximum effort and he isn't going to back down from any challenge that is presented to him. Mike Evans has taken note.

For those that don't know, Mike Evans actually played basketball in high school before committing to Texas A&M to play football. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Evans, who stands at 6-foot-5, played basketball at some point in his life.

Mike Evans spoke about his decision to work toward making it in the NFL instead of the NBA before his arrival to Texas A&M earlier this season. Needless to say, he's made the right decision, becoming one of the best wide receivers in the NFL since his debut in 2014.

After recording another 1,000-yard season in 2020, Mike Evans set an NFL record of seven consecutive seasons of 1,000 or more receiving yards to begin his career. The former first-round pick set the record in Week 17 despite suffering a knee injury in the same game.

Mike Evans finds himself in an unfamiliar spot as the Buccaneers are one win away from becoming Super Bowl champions. While Evans has no desire to play basketball professionally anymore, he believes he could have carved out a solid career in the NBA.
