Tampa Bay Buccaneers offseason addition Ndamukong Suh has made some enemies across the league with his different antics. In 2011 on Thanksgiving, Suh stomped on current Buccaneers guard Evan Smith while he played with the Green Bay Packers.

Now the two former rivals are teammates, and Smith doesn't seem too concerned about the past.

“It was 2011,” Smith said, via Martin Fennelly of the Tampa Bay Times. “A long time ago.”

Suh was fined and suspended for the incident, but right after Suh signed on with the Buccaneers, the two guys shook hands and are ready to be teammates. Smith knows that Suh is brought in to help the team win football games, and that's all that matters.

“It was just coincidence, really,” Smith said. “I was just walking out of a meeting; man, and he was just walking right by. It was fine. We’re fine. . . . Here’s the thing about it, man, when you come to work, you get paid to do a job. You don’t get paid to hate people, you get paid to play with them. He’s here to help us win football games. . . .

“People are making too big a deal of this. I know you guys love it. But its football. We’re grown men with families. We’re not out trying to kill guys 24/7. It’s a business, a tough sport. It’s not for the meek people.”

As long as Smith isn't the one on the other side of one Suh's stomps again, the two should be able to co-exist again as teammates.
