Rob Gronkowski is well on track to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' lineup when they play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. The veteran tight end confirmed as much on Friday as he rejoins the Bucs for practice.

Gronk has been dealing with fractured ribs and a punctured lung for some time now after sustaining the said injuries in Week 3. He has made four touchdowns in the games he played in, which is why quarterback Tom Brady and the rest of the team have missed him. He instantly makes an impact with his presence, so a possible return for him is a welcome boost for Tampa Bay.

Speaking to reporters, Gronk did not say he will play. However, he did raise hopes of his comeback as he emphasized that “the arrow’s pointing up towards playing.”

Rob Gronkowski returned to practice as full participant on Thursday, so there were expectations that he could suit up when they play the Giants on Monday. And by the looks of it, the 32-year-old has progressed really well to the point that he is in consideration of suiting up once again.

Gronk's potential return couldn't come at a better time for the Buccaneers, especially since they are in the midst of a two-game skid. If they want to easily handle the Giants and retain their top spot in the NFC South, they will certainly need the help of their star TE.
