The Tampa Bay Buccaneers soundly defeated the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday, 31-15. The Buccaneers led 31-0 during the third quarter and were never truly in jeopardy of losing the game. That left a lot of players in good spirits following the victory.

Future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronskowski spoke with the media after the game. He provided a comical take on the Bucs use of the 4-tight end sets they ran Sunday.

Twice during the game, Tampa Bay used four tight ends on the same play, leading to two rushing touchdowns. The first two scores of the game came from in close, with Gio Bernard and Ke’Shawn Vaughn each rushing for short touchdowns.

Gronkowski talked about the use of four tight ends, explaining that package is called “jacks” because the tight ends are all jacked up.

Tampa Bay was without their starting running back Leonard Fournette, as well as the backup tailback, Ronald Jones II. That did not deter the Bucs from running the football. Vaughn and Bernard combined for 97 yards rushing and the two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s rush defense shut down the vaunted Eagles rushing attack. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts led the team with 39 yards rushing. Running backs Miles Sanders and Boston Scott rushed for a combined 50 yards. Philadelphia led the NFL in rushing this season. They were held to a total of 95 yards on the ground Sunday.

Gronkowski finished the day with five catches for 31 yards and a receiving touchdown.

The Bucs are set to host the divisional round of the playoffs next weekend.
