Ronald Jones was unable to suit for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night versus the Washington Football Team and it remains to be seen if he'll be ready for next week's game. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jones' status for Tampa Bay's upcoming playoff tilt is yet to be determined.

Ahead of Saturday's Wild Card game against Washington, Jones wasn't able to overcome a quad injury he was battling during the week. Therefore, the Buccaneers made him a late scratch for the game and inserted Leonard Fournette into the offense with the starters.

While Jones wasn't able to take the field, Fournette made the most of his opportunity. Fournette would finish the game with 93 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown for the Buccaneers, along with 39 receiving yards on four receptions.

During the regular season, Jones led the Buccaneers with 978 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns. Jones also contributed 28 receptions for 165 yards and another touchdown through the air.

With the Buccaneers escaping with a win over Washington in the Wild Card round, they are poised to face either the New Orleans Saints or the Los Angeles Rams. If the Saints defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday, then Tampa Bay would square off with New Orleans for the third time this season.

Even though Fournette played well against Washington, the Buccaneers would love to have Jones back in the offense next week. But if he isn't able to make enough progress with his quad injury, then it will be Fournette lining up behind Brady again in Tampa Bay's next playoff contest.

The Buccaneers did not have to be anywhere near their very best against the Washington Football Team, a reality many people could readily appreciate. The Bucs, however, will have to be at their best in the divisional round and beyond. The margin for error will simply be too small.
