The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to escape with a victory over the Washington Football Team on Saturday night to advance in the postseason. Following Saturday's win, Tom Brady reacted to leading the Buccaneers to their first playoff victory since their Super Bowl win in 20o2.

“You can win 100-0 and it’s going to be the same result in the end,” Brady said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

While Brady threw for 381 yards and two touchdowns, it was Leonard Fournette and Mike Evans that stepped up when Tampa Bay needed it most. Despite Evans suffering a hyperextended knee in Week 17, he toughed it out and finished with a game-high 119 receiving yards.

On the other hand, with Ronald Jones sustaining a hamstring injury before the game, Fournette was given a full workload in the backfield. Fournette would respond by rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown while also adding four receptions for 39 yards.

After Evans and Fournette's productive outings, Brady lauded them for helping the Buccaneers clinch a chance to play in the next round of the playoffs.

“They both played great, and we needed them to play great,” Brady said. “They made a bunch of big plays when we needed them to. It was a tough, hard-nosed game. They had a lot of fight. We had opportunities to pull away and just didn’t do it. We didn’t score enough points in the red area. There’s certainly a lot to improve on. We’ll figure out who we’re playing tomorrow and go from there.”

Prior to Brady joining the Buccaneers, Tampa Bay's organization hadn't seen basically any postseason success. Even though Brady continues to achieve things that the franchise hasn't seen in years — including their first playoff berth since 2007 — he's focused on one thing: getting the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl.
