The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought back running back Peyton Barber already this offseason, and it appears they aren't done. Benjamin Allbright lists them as a team that could be in on Isaiah Crowell.

Now, this doesn't mean they're definitely going after Isaiah Crowell. This just means that Benjamin Allbright has reason to believe the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be interested in the running back.

It makes sense too. Barber was their leading rushing last year, running for 871 yards and five touchdowns on 234 carries (3.7 yards per carry).

The next two highest rushers were Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick – their two quarterbacks.

Clearly, the Buccaneers will need help at the position if they want to improve on last season. Getting more weapons in the running game could play a major part in turning around Winston's promising career.

Last season, Crowell ran for 685 yards on 143 carries and six touchdowns. That 4.8 yards per carry would be very welcome in Tampa Bay's backfield.

Most importantly for the Bucs, he'd be a cheaper option. They wouldn't have to break the bank for the running back. This would give them more flexibility while trying to figure out the rest of their roster.

Crowell is by no means the biggest free agent this offseason. However, he's a solid running back who could bring a lot to an offense. He'd help the Buccaneers significantly in the running game and could help to take some of the pressure off Jameis Winston – coming off two straight disappointing seasons.
