The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started off the regular season with a wild victory over Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. However, Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones got the start but was immediately sent to the doghouse after he lost a fumble.

Jones finished with only four carries for 14 yards and was an afterthought after he fumbled. Bucs head coach Bruce Arians mentioned that Jones had a hard time getting over it. But, Week 2 is here, and the Bucs are preparing to play the Atlanta Falcons and it looks like Jones with end up getting the start, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

This might be a bit of a surprise given Jones' fumbling issues throughout his career, but apparently Arians wants to give Jones confidence. He was a second-round pick out of USC in the 2018 NFL Draft and had been expected to make strides this season.

The Bucs won the game anyway, but the fumble led to a Cowboys touchdown, and things of that nature don't make Bruce Arians very happy.

So, Ronald Jones will be the starter, but if he fumbles again, one has to wonder if he gets sent to the bench for good. Behind him is Leonard Fournette and veteran Giovani Bernard, so there is no shortage of backs on this team.
