The fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are holding their collective breaths by the day, as they await the decision of Tom Brady regarding his career.

Rumors have swirled that the legendary quarterback will finally call it quits after 22 years. A multitude of tributes has already been made for Brady, who fell short in leading the Buccaneers to a successful title defense. But according to ESPN, citing the latest episode of Brady's Let's Go! podcast, the GOAT admitted he's not yet entirely sure about retiring. At least today.

“Sometimes it takes some time to really evaluate how you feel and what you want to do. I think when the time's right I'll be ready to make a decision one way or another, just like I said last week.”

The 44-year-old Brady has earlier said his wife and family will be a huge factor in his much-anticipated decision. While he can still play at an elite level for the Buccaneers, the seven-time Super Bowl champion also admitted that he doesn't know if he has a specific timeline.

“I'll know when the time is right. Like I've always said, I'm very blessed to play as long as I have. As things have gone on in the later parts of my career. There's a lot of interest in when I'm going to stop playing. I understand that. When I know, I'll know. When I don't know, I don't know. I'm not going to race to some conclusion about that.”

While Brady could very well just be delaying the announcement of his retirement, there's always that tiny crack in the door that he'll play another season. But clearly, the Buccaneers wouldn't want him to walk away.
