Cincinnati Bengals superstar wider receiver Ja'Marr Chase is considered by more than a few folks as one of the top wideouts in the game today. Well, based on his surprisingly low rating on the latest iteration of the highly-popular game, it is clear that Madden NFL 23 does not seem to think the same way.

It was recently revealed that Chase obtained an 87 rating on Madden, which the Bengals star could not help but react to. The 22-year-old said that he saw this as motivation for him to get better and to prove his doubters wrong. None other than the GOAT himself, Tom Brady, decided to give Chase some hilariously appropriate words of wisdom in light of these recent developments.

For starters, here's Chase's initial reaction to his 87 rating:

“i’m going keep working . Extra motivation,” he wrote in his tweet.

Brady caught wind of Chase's reaction and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers superstar quarterback had to throw it back all the way to 2001 just to prove how much he relates to Chase's rating:

“Don’t sweat it man. Madden didn’t even put me in the game my second year,” Brady tweeted in response to Chase.

The seven-time Super Bowl champ then shared a photo that provided a detailed breakdown of his 57 overall rating from more than two decades ago, which included a laughable 41 awareness rating:

This just goes to show how underrated Brady was during his earlier years. Simply put, the critics never imagined that he would eventually become the GOAT. I mean, Madden literally didn't even have his name on the game. At least Ja'Marr Chase got an 87 in his second year in the league.
