The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advanced in the NFL playoffs, and Tom Brady might be able to get some revenge 22 years in the making. Despite his reigning success and title as the GOAT, Brady still holds a grudge against the San Francisco 49ers for not picking him up in the 2000 NFL Draft.

CBS Boston reporter Michael Hurley tweeted the news Tuesday morning after Jim Gray asked Brady about his feelings towards the 49ers.

Yikes, it sounds like time didn't heal this wound, but who can blame him? The 49ers basically took him out to dinner, said they would call him back, and basically stood him up come draft day. No wonder Brady has so much drive to succeed, Steve Mariucci wronged him.

The 49ers had eleven draft picks in 2000, and picked quarterback Giovanni Carmazzi in the third round. The 65th overall pick was San Francisco's fifth pick. Carmazzi was drafted 134 selections before Brady was eventually picked up by the New England Patriots at 199th overall.

Brady and Bill Belichick definitely had the last laugh in terms of overall success, but the GOAT isn't done laughing yet. The Buccaneers are set to take on the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round, while the 49ers will travel to Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers.

If both the Buccaneers and the 49ers win, they will face each other in the NFC Championship, and you better believe Brady will come out guns blazing against the franchise that wronged him.
