Rob Gronkowski asked what everyone else wanted to know after seeing Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady work out with his former New England Patriots teammate Julian Edelman.

On Monday, Brady posted an edited video of him throwing passes to Edelman during a recent workout. The retired wide receiver, for his part, retweeted the video and asked “how's the knee look?”

Of course that interaction fueled speculations that Julian Edelman could be working towards a return to the NFL. After all, Tom Brady himself just showed that retirement is overrated, and he might just be rubbing off on his good friend and one of his favorite targets when he was in New England.

A true man of the people, Rob Gronkowski also shared the video and asked whether Edelman is making a comeback. Besides, that's the only plausible explanation why he's with the Buccaneers signal-caller and running routes, right?

Like Gronk, everybody else is surely hoping that's the case. If it is indeed, the next question would be whether he'll be joining TB12 with the Buccaneers or return to the Patriots and resume his career under head coach Bill Belichick.

For what it's worth, Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon reminded Edelman his “Foxboro Forever” mantra before he makes any decision.

This could very well be just Edelman having fun with Brady, but hey, it'll certainly be nice to see them back together competing on the field … for the same side that is.
