Black lives matter, and for Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday, he is making sure he amplifies this movement and puts his money where his mouth is.

Earlier this December, Holiday pledged the remainder of his 2020 salary to small businesses, nonprofits, and initiatives owned by members of the black community. Though the actual amount to be donated was undisclosed, Holiday's current contract with the Bucks guarantees the 30-year old at least $25 million this 2020-21 season.

“I'm blessed. God has blessed me with so much, playing this game of basketball and actually being paid quite handsomely for it,” Holiday told the NBA on TNT crew after the Bucks' win against the Heat (via NBA on TNT). “The best thing I can do is to give back to my people during this crisis and time of need – to give what I can. I just want to set an example for everybody else, that we are blessed to be here and to be playing and to even have a job. Whatever you can give, for me it was money. I felt like money, especially with our economy and black and brown businesses, that was important to me and my family.”

The Bucks have been one of the more vocal members of the league in terms of the BLM advocacy, and Jrue Holiday is certainly making sure he leads his team on and off the court.

Regarded as one of the best two-way guards in the league, the former All-Star has also made a name for himself as one of the most well-rounded athletes in the NBA today. Last season, he also snagged the NBA's Teammate of the Year Award.

On Monday, Holiday dazzled everyone with his incredible play on the court. He knocked down a game-high six triples and tallied 24 points in the Bucks' historic 144-97 blowout win against the Miami Heat.
