The Milwaukee Bucks announced that star Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out for Game 5 as he rehabs the knee injury that forced him out early from Game 4 against the Atlanta Hawks. While there is no concrete timetable of when the two-time MVP will return to action, Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer gave an update on his status, according to Malika Andrews of ESPN.

The fact that Giannis didn't do any on-court activity doesn't bode well for his chances of returning at any point in the Eastern Conference Finals. Of course, he could progress rather quickly, but Chris Bosh mentioned that these injuries are extremely difficult to deal with.

The Bucks are tied at 2-2 with the Hawks, who announced that their star Trae Young is also out for Game 5 as he deals with an injury of his own. Young missed Game 4 with the same injury after having to leave Game 3 early, and now neither team has their star player on the court for the most important games of the season.

The pressure will be on Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and the other Bucks players to get the job done and find a way — somehow — to book a trip to the NBA Finals and compete for a title after a successful playoff run.
