While Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso has already underwent surgery for his wrist injury, Lonzo Ball has yet to go under the knife for his left knee issue.

Bulls head coach Billy Donovan revealed as much on Monday ahead of their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He pointed out that everything about Caruso's surgery “went well,” but there is still no specific date for Ball's surgery–although it is expected to happen this week, via Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago.

Both Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball are expected to miss six to eight weeks due to their respective injuries, which is undoubtedly a brutal blow to the Bulls who would miss their defensive intensity and playmaking. Chicago has other guards in Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu who could fill in, but they certainly need to step up and elevate their game to keep the team competing at the top of the East.

Prior to Monday's game against the Thunder, the Bulls have largely struggled and lost seven of their previous 10 outings. With that said, their injury woes couldn't come at an uglier time than this.

Hopes are high that the Bulls can survive while two of their key players are absent. They are a deep team, but as their recent performances suggest, they look more vulnerable than ever.
