Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen has recently been criticized for his stubbornness in putting rookie guard Coby White into the team's starting lineup. This time, however, Boylen's opinion on the matter is now more open-minded.

White, the No. 8 pick of the 2019 NBA draft, has had an up-and-down rookie season. Nonetheless, the former UNC star is playing his best basketball of the season as of late.

In the month of February, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged 20.1 points, 4.1 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from deep and 93.5 percent from the line.

Comparatively, White is only averaging 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists on the season as a whole and has shot under 40 percent from the field.

Regardless, White scored 33-plus points in three straight games all while coming off the bench last month. With the Bulls near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, fans have been calling for White to be named a starter for weeks.

For the most part, Chicago starts fourth-year guard Tomas Satoransky and/or Kriss Dunn alongside star shooting guard Zach LaVine. And while Coby White has made zero starts in 62 games for the Bulls this season, the 19-year-old rookie does rank fifth on the team with 25.2 minutes per contest.
