Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine was one of the biggest snubs from the 2020 Eastern Conference NBA All-Star reserves. With the All-Star festivities set to take place inside the United Center in two weeks, the 24-year-old supreme athlete opened up about the possibility of representing the host team in the slam dunk competition instead.

Per Bulls insider K.C. Johnson, the Bulls' shooting guard discussed several factors for him to consider returning to the crowd favorite exhibition.

“Obviously, my fatigue level and what events it would be, how much I have to put into it. For the dunk contest, I haven’t practiced at all. I’m not just going to walk into something and throw up a L. I gotta see if I can win.”

LaVine, of course, is already a two-time slam dunk champion, winning the title in the 2015 and 2016 edition of the contest. He has defied gravity over and over again with effortless windmill dunks from the free-throw line.

LaVine defended his slam dunk title in an epic dunk contest against Aaron Gordon in 2016. Their duel is considered by many as one of the best slam dunk contests in history.

With LaVine now fully recovered from an ACL injury — not to mention looking as springy as ever — fans are hoping for another aerial rematch between him and Gordon. The Orlando Magic forward has already confirmed his participation this year.

LaVine, meanwhile, has evolved into an all-around player for the Bulls since joining the team in 2017. He has assumed the reins as the team's star, averaging 25.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.4 steals in 51 games this season.
