The Chicago Bulls take on the Miami Heat on Wednesday in South Beach and Bulls starting shooting guard Zach LaVine will not play.

Zach LaVine is dealing with a right ankle sprain.

Chicago enters Wednesday with a record of 11-40, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The club is on a four-game losing streak.

In 45 games this season, Zach LaVine is averaging 22.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. The 23-year-old high-flyer is shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from beyond the arc and 86.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls are on a back-to-back, so they could be just playing it safe with LaVine, who played 35:32 on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets. He finished with 26 points, four rebounds and five assists while shooting 11-of-20 from the floor and 1-of-4 from the 3-point line in the Bulls' 112-117 loss in Brooklyn.

Zach LaVine leads Chicago in scoring. The Bulls are 29th in the NBA in scoring, as they are putting up 101.4 points per game. Things have been so bad under Jim Boylen that some of the fans are actually missing Fred Hoiberg, who was fired in December.

Chicago is headed for the lottery. LaVine has been the only bright spot for the club this season.
