The Chicago Bulls are reportedly interested in signing veteran point guard George Hill once free agency starts on June 30, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

The Bucks are going to waive Hill, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Hill split this past season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Bucks. He averaged 7.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 31.4 percent from beyond the arc and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls have Kris Dunn and rookie Coby White on the roster. Chicago drafted White with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Bulls are reportedly looking for a veteran point guard like Hill to push Dunn and White in practice.

Hill probably wants to return to the Bucks since they are a championship contender. The Bulls aren't even a playoff team yet. The only way Chicago would be able to steal Hill away from Milwaukee is by offering a lucrative contract, similar to how the Sacramento Kings stole Hill from the Utah Jazz in the summer of 2017 when they signed him to a three-year, $57 million free agent deal.

The Bulls' roster is currently headlined by Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, Otto Porter Jr. and Wendell Carter Jr.
