The Chicago Bulls need a little bit more of this attitude if they want to be competitive this season. As the Bulls took on the Atlanta Hawks in their final game of the preseason, Wendell Carter Jr. served up a nasty slam over Hawks rookie Bruno Fernando. Needless to say, it was quite nasty and Carter Jr. was promptly assessed a technical for flexing right after.

Didn't Carter get the memo that you can”t show any emotion even after highlight-worthy dunks?

Check it out right here.

The former seventh overall draft selection is entering his second season in the NBA after having a promising rookie season. The 20-year-old averaged 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per game on an efficient 48.8 percent from the field in 44 starts. However, his season was cut short last year due to left thumb surgery in March.

The one thing that Carter obviously needs to improve upon is his 3-point shooting. The Duke university product only shot 1.4 3-point attempts last season and converted on only 18.8 percent of his treys. That was in stark contrast to his 41.3 percent efficiency rate from beyond the arc in his lone season at Duke. However, he only attempted 46 treys in college — and that was obviously from the college 3-point line — not the NBA one, which is further.

The second-year big man spoke of his desire to improve his shooting prior to the start of this season, via Heavy's Brandon ‘Scoop B' Robinson:

“Just being more aggressive on the offensive end, I feel like defensively….I played very well on the defensive end throughout the season. I feel like offensively I deferred a lot, so this summer I just want to work on being a very capable shooter from all three levels and being able to create my own shot.”

If he can pull off more dunks like this one, maybe he won't need a jump shot after all.
