Arizona Cardinal DeAndre Hopkins was involved in one of the offseason's most surprising player movements. Hopkins will be moving on to a new city, team, and quarterback to play alongside. Being able to accomplish relevant success with his former gunslinger in Deshaun Watson, he now hopes to develop the same bond with young Cardinals' quarterback Kyler Murray.

According to an article featured on NFL.com:

“My expectation is us becoming best friends,” Hopkins said, via the team's official website. “I have to be on the same page as my quarterback no matter what for us to be successful as a team.”

“Obviously, we don't have a lot of time to get ready. So, every rep really counts, but I think Kyler's mindset is we're gonna make it work. So, that's my mindset, as well.”

On March 20, 2020, the Texans traded DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson, a 2020 second-round pick, and a 2021 fourth-round pick.

After a productive rookie season, huge expectations are now set on 2019 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyler Murray. With the arrival of Hopkins, Cardinals fans are already expecting the team to be able to turn things around.

However, playoff aspirations for the Arizona-based team will be harder to accomplish as they are still placed in a stacked NFC West division. The group is being led by Super Bowl LIV finalist San Francisco 49ers, with the reloaded Seattle Seahawks and still-solid Los Angeles Rams vying for position as well.

After landing one of the game's best pass-catchers, the Cardinals are aiming to make it back to the playoff picture after a 4-year absence. Big things are definitely expected to brew in the desert for the upcoming seasons.
