The Arizona Cardinals received some troubling news recently with general manager Steve Keim being arrested for driving under the influence. Along with the news of Keim's arrest going public, an arrest video of Keim surfaced with the general manager claiming to have had only two beers during his night out.

In the aftermath of the arrest, Keim pleaded guilty to what is being called extremely DUI. As a result, he has been fined a significant amount as well as set to serve a lengthy suspension for his actions, according to Darren Urban of the team's website.

The Cardinals have suspended General Manager Steve Keim five weeks and fined him $200,000, after Keim pleaded guilty Tuesday in Chandler to extreme DUI following his arrest July 4.

The fine money will be donated to the Arizona chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

This is unfortunate timing for the Cardinals who recently signed Keim to a lucrative contract extension. Back in February, Keim signed a four-year deal to remain the team's general manager through 2022. This is obviously not a good look for the team or Keim, especially with all the recent changes the franchise has gone through recently.

After failing to reach the playoffs this past season, the Cardinals saw head coach Bruce Arians and veteran quarterback Carson Palmer announce they were retiring sparking some drastic changes for Arizona. The team has since hired Steve Wilks as Arians' successor, secured the return of star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, signed Sam Bradford, and draft potentially their future face of the franchise in rookie quarterback Josh Rosen.
