The Arizona Cardinals have made a decision regarding the statuses of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins for today's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Both of them will be out, the team announced.

It was reported earlier today that it wasn't looking good for Murray and Hopkins being able to play. Now, it's official that they will both be sidelined as the Cardinals face the 49ers in Levi's Stadium.

Murray has been held out of practice this past week with an ankle injury. GM Steve Keim explained that the team is going to exercise caution with their Pro Bowl quarterback, and they did just that. This game will be Murray's first missed game of his professional career.

Hopkins suffered a hamstring injury in Arizona's game last week against the Green Bay Packers. The five-time Pro Bowl nominee also did not practice this week. This will be his first missed game as a Cardinal.

The Cardinals will now turn to backup quarterback Colt McCoy and lean more on wide receivers A.J. Green and Christian Kirk to help them avoid a second consecutive loss. At 7-1, they're looking strong so far but they're only tied for the lead of the NFC West with the Los Angeles Rams.
