The Arizona Cardinals were manhandled by the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. In what was his first taste of NFL playoff action, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray fell apart, throwing two interceptions, one of which was returned by the Rams for a pick-six. Murray made unfortunate NFL history with the pick-six, per NBC Sports.

It's the shortest pick-six in NFL playoff history, breaking the previous record of five yards.

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray's pick-six against the Rams was the shortest in NFL history. Murray's pass broke the previous record of five yards.

The play in question, which Cardinals fans have probably replayed in their heads over and over, occurred in the second quarter of the NFL playoff game vs. the Rams.

Murray felt the LA pass rush coming for him and seemingly panicked, throwing up a desperation heave, which landed directly in the arms of Rams linebacker David Long Jr., who could have crawled into the end zone for the pick-six.

Murray, who had the opportunity to announce his presence as the next great young quarterback in the league, instead authored a performance against the Rams that he'd like to forget.

Kyler Murray and the Cardinals will have to move on to next season after the disappointing- and historic- loss to the Rams.
