The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for a Wild Card round clash with the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. The playoff game will be the first of quarterback Kyler Murray's career, though head coach Kliff Kingsbury isn't concerned about his quarterback's lack of postseason experience. In fact, Kingsbury is feeling quite confident in Murray and made a bold declaration about his signal-caller ahead of the playoff game vs. the Rams, via ESPN.

“I think this is what he's been waiting for for three years,” Kingsbury said Wednesday. “He's a guy who wants to be playing for something and knows he's playing for something.

“This is his first shot at the playoffs, and I expect him to probably play the best game of his career. I know he's going to give it everything he's got.”

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that quarterback Kyler Murray has been waiting for the playoffs and the pressure that comes with it for “three years.” Kingsbury boldly declared that Murray will “probably play the best game of his career” against the Rams.

No pressure, Kyler. In all seriousness, Kingsbury is giving a Cardinals offense- and specifically Murray- a much-needed jolt of confidence ahead of the game vs. the Rams.

There was a time at the beginning of the season where Murray and Cardinals were the hottest team in the NFL. Since that point, injuries and inconsistent play have been the story for Kingsbury's offense, but he knows that the team can have a clean slate in the playoffs.

And Kliff Kingsbury is confident in what Kyler Murray will do with that clean slate against the Rams.
