Thursday Night Football is evil. I mean, it is neat we get to watch some pigskin before Sunday, but at what coast? Well, apparently, it is the ACL of Arizona Cardinals safety Tyvon Branch.

Branch hurt his knee while trying to break up a pass to Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham in the end zone on Thursday, and now Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports on Friday that he suffered a torn ACL.

The injury to Tyvon Branch is one of the many suffered during the Thursday Night Football game. Russell Wilson got jacked up, Richard Sherman had his Achilles rupture, and it was so bad that Seattle wide receiver Doug Baldwin wants the event to be outlawed.

This s— should be illegal,” Baldwin said, via Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune. “It is not OK. It’s not OK. You can quote me on that.

“This is not OK. … Absolutely, guys do not have enough time to recover. You can’t recover in four days.”

Branch had started every game this season. This is his second with the Cardinals, and has 69 tackles and a forced fumble prior to going out with the ACL. He was limited to six games last year by a groin injury and is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Hopefully for him, he makes a full recovery so he can get his true market value when the offseason hits. However, he's hurt rather often, which will decrease what teams will be likely to pay him.
