The Carolina Panthers last season went 7-9 and finished second overall in the NFC West Division. The team doesn't really have a lot of weapons surrounding Cam Newton, outside of Christian McCaffrey and Greg Olsen. The team desperately needs some firepower, and no one would fit better than Antonio Brown.

This past year the Panthers only had two players exceed more than 750 passing yards and 50 receptions. McCaffrey caught 107 receptions with 867 yards, and D.J. Moore with 55 receptions and 788 yards caught. The team is a very run oriented team. McCaffrey ran over 1,000 yards as well. He's a modern-day Matt Forte.

Newton likes to run as well. However, he is more prone to throw nowadays. Newton hasn't had a great receiver since Steve Smith, or perhaps Kelvin Benjamin if you consider him one. The Panthers first priority should be to get a top wideout around him so that he can be his best self.

Brown would be a perfect addition to the team.

Last season, he caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns. For his career, Brown has had six straight seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 100 receptions. He’s still effective even at age 30, and elite wideouts keep going through his late 30s.

Brown would bring to the Panthers one of the best careers by a wideout in the history of the NFL. He has proven that he will get his 1,000 yards and 100 receptions year in and year out. His dependability with or without his ego is worth so much to a franchise who hasn't had a great wide receiver in years.

For the Panthers to improve moving forward, they need more offensive weapons. Newton isn't getting any younger. Brown could come in and immediately make them a playoff contending team. His impact as a wideout is just as much as Newton's as a quarterback. It'll get more open looks for Olsen and McCaffrey, making the offense better as a whole.
