The Boston Celtics had double digit leads in both games against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Nevertheless, in both games they blew those leads and lost late in the outings.

On the daily Locked On Celtics Podcast, host John Karalis explained how Boston is completely falling apart at the end of games in this series.

John Karalis: No one is absolved of any blame here. Really bad play. There were some stretches there in the fourth quarter. A pass that went past Jalen Brown that went through his hands out of bounds in the fourth quarter. He looked like me out there and I'm 47 years old. Like they look like me right now out there. That's how bad it looked. They look like they don't know how to play basketball anymore for these stretches. Now, is that frustration? Is that fatigue? Is that loss of focus? Miami is playing crisp basketball. When Boston is beating Miami; Boston is is out there taking it to Miami and beating them. When Miami is beating Boston; Miami is still playing—maybe they played a little harder—but Boston is completely falling apart.

Some of it i think is is is on the Celtics, some of it is definitely on the Miami Heat defense… You have to attack the gaps pass and then get somebody in the middle and pass that person in the middle. When Kemba Walker found Marcus Smart in the first half on the baseline was perfect. It was perfect how you get past the zone. Kemba got into the middle. That guy steps up Adebayo steps up. Marcus Smart, working the back line steps into the middle lane, boom, layup. I used to love when I saw his own, I would I would hang back, I would almost stand out of bounds on the baseline and wait for somebody get to the middle of the zone. And then I would just sneak right in. And this is me… You know when you look at me compared to what these guys do, it's nothing. And I know, get to the middle of the zone, get somebody along the baseline to come up behind those guys when they step up, and you got a dump off passes all the time. It's basic.
