The Boston Celtics were out for blood in Game 2. They came out fired up from the jump and stormed to a 127-102 win over the Miami Heat on Thursday.

It was night and day compared to their underwhelming performance in Game 1. Celtics head coach Ime Udoka was vocal on what fueled their huge turnaround from Game 1.

Via Jay King:

“I think we were upset with how the third quarter went and specifically how we were out-toughed,” the Celtics coach said after Game 2.

The Celtics were pummeled in the third quarter of Game 1, getting outscored by a whopping 25 points. But Boston won every other quarter of the contest. Udoka admitted that it wasn't any technical change that got them the win this time around. It was making sure they wouldn't get “punked” again like that.

“It wasn't a lot of schemes or defensive or offensive changes. They just came out and punked us that third quarter. We looked at the three quarters and how well we had done winning those quarters, and knew if we just matched their physicality we could be better.”

A Game 2 loss would have put immense pressure on the Celtics to take Game 3. Instead, they take a series tie back to Boston with momentum on their side.
