The Boston Celtics are starting to turn their season around. After a rather disappointing stretch early in the season, the team has found a sudden groove, winning their last 5 games in a row. There's hope that this squad has what it takes now to make it deep in the playoffs.

Despite their recent success though, the front office is not satisfied. There are rumors that the Celtics are trying to make deals before the trade deadline. One of the names involved in said trade rumors is Dennis Schroder, one of their recent acquisitions in the offseason.

In a recent media appearance, Schroder announced his intention to stay with the Celtics, saying that he loves playing there.

“I like the guys, the organization…I love them…if I'm staying here, that would be better.”

The Celtics have had a defined weakness at the point guard position, but it isn't exactly Schroder's fault. The German point guard is a dynamic scorer, but not a true playmaker on the court. Boston knew what they were getting with Dennis, and they learned that the hard way early in the year.

Despite the knocks on his game, though, Schroder has performed incredibly well for the Celtics. In his sixth-man role, the guard is averaging a solid 14.3 points per game on solid efficiency. He has been one of the few bright spots on the roster during their struggles, and he's now part of their success.

If the Celtics are able to find a way to keep Schroder through the deadline, they should do so. However, there may be some teams out there that have an offer Brad Stevens can't refuse.
