The Boston Celtics pulled off an incredible comeback in the series against the Milwaukee Bucks in order to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. While typically Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum would fill the role of offensive leader, Game 7 featured a different hero. To almost everyone's surprise, Grant Williams tied an NBA record for most 3-pointers made in an NBA Playoffs Game 7, joining Stephen Curry and Marcus Morris with 7 3's. After his absurd shooting performance, Williams gave props to his teammates for constantly encouraging him despite the slump he was in prior to blowing up in Game 7, via Jared Weiss.

Williams had the backing of his teammates and head coach Ime Udoka to continue shooting despite struggling to find his shot in the series. Prior to Game 7, Williams had shot just 2-for-14 from 3-point territory in his previous four games. Rather than worry about his lack of production, Williams received the green light to keep shooting, and the Bucks were more than happy to let him — something which proved to be a massive mistake.

Williams ended up going 7-for-18 from deep, leading the game with 27 points. It was the first time his career he led the Celtics in scoring, and he could not have picked a better time to get scalding hot. Williams hadn't scored a field goal in his previous two games, let alone a 3. His only points came from the free-throw line, from where he shot 2-for-5 in Game 6.

The Celtics never let Williams doubt his ability to knock down an open look, and while the Bucks essentially dared him to keep shooting, he made them pay time and time again on Sunday.
