Boston Celtics swingman Marcus Smart is pretty high on the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Both Tatum and Brown entered the league at the same time in 2017. As a six-year veteran, Smart has been a teammate of both stars for each of the past three seasons. While Tatum immediately established himself as a go-to scorer during his rookie season, Brown took a little bit longer to come along. Fast forward two seasons later and it's clear that Brown is a star himself. The 23-year-old is averaging 20.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game on 49.0 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Along with veteran Kemba Walker, both Tatum and Brown are clearly the stars of the Celtics franchise. With both players under 23 years of age, Smart revealed just how highly he thinks of his two young teammates — before revealing that he believes Tatum can be the best player in the league.

While neither player made the All-Star Game this season, both came close. In fact, as late as in January, Tatum came in fifth for voting for East frontcourt players. As far as Brown is concerned, he was seventh in voting for backcourt players.

As the NBA looks to restart its season on July 30, both Tatum and Brown will look to lead the Celtics to better seeding in time for the playoffs. Entering the restart, Boston is currently third in the Eastern Conference standings, just three games behind the Toronto Raptors for the second seed in the conference.

Considering Tatum's dominant nature as a scorer and Brown's two-way ability as a scorer and perimeter defender, this Celtics duo may one day emerge as the very best duo in the entire NBA.
