The Boston Celtics are set to take on the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the 2022 NBA playoffs. They play host to the Nets in Game 1 Sunday afternoon.

Marcus Smart expressed his emotions ahead of the playoff run, saying that “moments like this” are what he lives for. The Celtics tweeted his emotional quote Saturday afternoon.

Smart is pumped for the series, and, according to him, anybody in the tournament who isn't is “in the wrong profession.”

The 28-year-old has been a key contributor to the Celtics all season. As the starting point guard, Smart averaged 12.1 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in the regular season.

Smart's comments are sure to fire up Boston fans, especially with their first postseason game just a day away.

Meanwhile, Nets' point guard Ben Simmons is working on proving that he is in the right profession. He is inching closer and closer to making his season debut, and could do so at some point against the Celtics.

The Celtics are the second seed in the East and are expected to win the series against the seventh seed Nets. And, with this type of energy in the Boston locker room, there's no telling how far this team will go. If they pull off the series win, the Celtics will take on the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Chicago Bulls in the Conference Semifinals.
