Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck admits it was tough to love the 2018-19 Celtics, who were one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NBA.

The Celtics were the preseason favorites to win the Eastern Conference, but they never lived up to the hype and got eliminated in the second round of the playoffs in five games by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 2017-18 Celtics were one game away from the NBA Finals. They took LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference. Everyone thought that with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back from injuries, this year's Beantown team would coast through the East since LeBron went out West to join the Los Angeles Lakes.

Boston won 49 games during the regular season, but it wasn't pretty. The players never played like a real team. It looked like everyone on the roster had their own agenda. The Celtics were able to sweep the Indiana Pacers in the first round and, after they won Game 1 versus the Bucks, people were starting to believe in them.

However, the Bucks thoroughly outplayed the Celtics in the next four games. Now, there are a lot of questions surround the Cs this summer. Will Irving re-sign with the team, or take his talents to the New York Knicks? Will Danny Ainge be able to trade for New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis? Only time will tell.
