The Los Angeles Chargers ultimately fell to 2-3 on the season as a result of the team's Sunday afternoon defeat at the hands of the rival Denver Broncos. With the Broncos earning the team's first win of the season on the road against Los Angeles, Chargers defensive back Desmond King became one of the few bright spots for the Bolts.

While it took the Chargers until the final minute of the third quarter to score a single point against the Broncos, it was King who managed the feat by returning this punt 68 yards to the house for a touchdown.

At the time, the Broncos led the way 17-0 while King at the very least avoided a shutout for the Chargers. However, Los Angeles would go on to add a field goal in the fourth quarter while making what was a highly lopsided contest into a one-score game very quickly. Even so, the Chargers inability to score a touchdown on offense led to the team's latest loss, already its third of the season. A 17-10 final score did not do the Broncos' performance any justice as King managed to put his team on the board in an unconventional way to keep the Chargers in the game until the very end.

Now a dismal 2-3 on the season, the Chargers will need to continue to try and keep pace with the 3-2 Oakland Raiders and 4-0 Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West standings. Despite losing to Denver on Sunday afternoon, the Chargers will not likely need to worry about the Broncos as far as the standings are concerned, which makes the Week 5 loss at home sting that much more.
