With a week remaining in the regular season, the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are eyeing back-to-back titles. The sports betting world is also preparing with the playoffs on the horizon. Per David Purdum of ESPN, a four-leg parlay placed in August is banking on the Chiefs to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second straight year.

The potential payout for the parlay is substantial:

A four-team parlay, with a final leg of the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, sold for $57,200 last week on PropSwap, a secondary market for sports bets that have already been placed.

The parlay was placed in August at Hollywood Casino in West Virginia. The first three legs — Braves to win the National League East, Lightning to win the Stanley Cup, and Storm to win the WNBA championship — have already cashed. If Kansas City wins the Super Bowl, the ticket will pay $171,360.

Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs already clinched the AFC's top seed after they defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 17-14, for their 10th straight victory. Doing so also means they have earned a first-round bye in the postseason.

Kansas City had already secured a spot in the playoffs three weeks before and won its fifth consecutive AFC West title a week later in a victory over the Miami Dolphins.

The Chiefs have a chance to finish the regular season with a 15-1 mark by defeating the 6-9 Los Angeles Chargers. Their one week break before they start their quest for a repeat should give them extra time to rest up and scout their first postseason opponent.

The Buffalo Bills are looking like the biggest challenger to the Chiefs with their 12-3 record. The Pittsburgh Steelers are also 12-3, but they've shown some warts over the past month.
