Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. is set to test the market as a free agent this offseason. Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu has since wasted no time make his recruiting pitch.

Mathieu has not been shy about enticing the Broncos star about joining the Chiefs. Harris revealed some of what was said between the two during an interview with TMZ Sports:

“[He says] just come up there, man,” Harris Jr. said. “Play with him, be able to do what I’ve done in the past — play everywhere on the field, and also play with a great quarterback!”

Chris Harris touched up on where his priorities will lie this offseason.

“I’m really just looking for the best situation,” Harris Jr. said.”Of course, you want a team that’s going to pay you and appreciate you, one, and then also how they’re going to use me.”

The prospect of Chris Harris linking up with Mathieu in Kansas City is certainly an intriguing. His arrival would provide a major boost to a secondary that is already coming off a Super Bowl win.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not the Chiefs are willing to pay his lucrative price tag. After all, he is a four-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro, and former Super Bowl champion that still has plenty left in the tank at 30 years old. It is safe say that Chris Harris will be looking to get paid as such.

Although signing Chris Harris would make for quite the splash in free agency, he could be too rich for Kansas City's budget. Regardless, it is still encouraging to see Mathieu making efforts to improve the team.
