Believe it or not, Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill thought quarterback Patrick Mahomes was “trash” when they first met back in 2017.

The Chiefs drafted Mahomes with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft. The gunslinger only appeared in one game during his rookie season since the team had Alex Smith on the roster.

Mahomes started all 16 games in 2018, though, and the rest is history. He won the MVP award that year and guided the Chiefs to the Super Bowl in 2019. Mahomes is undoubtedly the best quarterback in the NFL right now and Hill is amazed at how much his signal-caller has improved since day one.

Mahomes actually took to social media to react to Hill's comments and the Chiefs superstar used the famous Nick Young meme.

Clearly, Mahomes and Hill have a great relationship, both on and off the field.

Mahomes threw three touchdowns to Hill in Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For his part, Hill caught 13 balls on 15 targets for 269 receiving yards in the Chiefs' 27-24 win on the road.

Kansas City is 10-1 on the season and atop the AFC West standings. With Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill leading the way on offense, the Chiefs could very well repeat as Super Bowl champions this season.

Mahomes has thrown for 3,497 yards and 30 touchdowns through 11 games. Hill, meanwhile, has 68 receptions for 1,021 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The Chiefs will look to improve to 11-1 in Week 13 when they face the Denver Broncos at home.
