Chris Daukaus gets a huge test on Saturday when he takes on Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC Vegas 45. Lewis obviously has a puncher's chance in every fight due to his ungodly punching power. Daukaus will have to be very careful against a tough opponent.

Chris Daukaus found himself very surprised to get the fight against Derrick Lewis. He figured the push from the UFC wouldn't come until later.

“I had called out four people I figured I would get one of them, but I guess the UFC had other plans… I didn’t think I would be getting this kind of push this early,” Daukaus said on Just Scrap Radio on BJPENN.com. “But, hey I’m going out there and winning fights and if that is all it takes for me to get this, then I’m just going to keep doing it.”

Derrick Lewis has big power and likes to lure his opponents in by pretending to be hurt. Chris Daukaus knows about this move and will be careful heading into UFC Vegas 45.

“It’s something you have to pay attention to, he’s a crafty guy and knows how to fight,” Daukaus said. “I’m going to be fully prepared for anything that happens in that cage, it will be really exciting to truly test myself against a veteran like him… Stylistically, I think I’m a little better everywhere. I have the speed advantage, he has the one-punch knockout power, I’ll give him that, cardio I think that’s mine, the ground game I think that’s mine, he doesn’t really do the ground game, he has great wrestling defense, we will see how it goes. I’m excited to get in there.”

Chris Daukaus is confident he's better than Derrick Lewis almost everywhere. UFC Vegas 45 will make for a very exciting main event.
