The L.A. Clippers are currently 1.5 games out of a playoff spot, but for the next couple of weeks, they are going to be missing one of their key players.

According to ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly:

“Doc Rivers says Avery Bradley is going to be out a while, but the team just doesn't know right now. Doc said it could be a week, could be 3 weeks. Just don't know.”

Bradley has already missed two games because of the injury and now he's been given a wide timeframe on when he will be able to return.

Even when Bradley does return though, the injury is still expected to bother him, so at that point, it will be a pain issue over the chance of being reinjured.

“The bottom line is that it's a tough injury to have,” Rivers said. “It's the same one Jawun has. Especially with what Avery does, I mean, he's one of the, if not the best, he's one of the top five defensive guys on the ball in the league. And that's all movement there. So it's a tough blow, but it is what it is.”

Bradley came over from the Detroit Pistons to the Clippers in the deal that sent Blake Griffin to the Motor City. He defensive-minded guard played in six games before the All-Star break averaging 9.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. Those numbers are a drop from his number with the Pistons this year, and a big drop from last year with the Boston Celtics where he averaged 16.3 points per game.

Bradley will be an unrestricted free agent after this season ends, and there should be a pretty big market waiting to secure his services.
