Fresh from a pair of victories over the San Antonio Spurs this week, the Los Angeles Clippers’ Terance Mann talked about their team’s latest additionRajon Rondo.

In a post-game interview, the sophomore wing said that having the two-time NBA champion is a good thing for their squad. He added that growing up in Massachusetts made him look up to the former Boston Celtic as a basketball player to idolize back then.

Towards the end of the interview, Mann claimed to have Rondo’s 2006 rookie card in his wallet. In an instant, he took it out and proudly showed it to the camera. The Clippers’ young stud said that he kept the card since middle school and serves as his good luck charm since then.

Mann, in his second year in the league, is currently averaging 5.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 16.9 minutes per contest. He recently notched a season-high 21 points and 10 rebounds in a come-from-behind victory against the Atlanta Hawks. Mann adds that his game has improved since deciding to keep Rondo’s card inside his wallet.

The card itself is tattered and in very poor condition. Safe to say he won't be having it graded anytime soon. Nevertheless, Mann plans to have Rondo sign it as soon as they meet. When that happens, his card will become more valuable than what it is right now, worn-out or not.
