Kawhi Leonard may have won over the entire country of Canada during his lone season with the Toronto Raptors, but it seems he still has some work to do before he can capture the total adulation of sports fans in Los Angeles.

Leonard, who signed with the Los Angeles Clippers this offseason, was booed during an appearance at the Los Angeles Rams' Week 4 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the LA Memorial Coliseum.

Kawhi Leonard did not receive the warmest of welcomes when he was traded to Toronto, either. Raptors fans had come to adore DeMar DeRozan –who went to the San Antonio Spurs as part of that trade — while Leonard was coming off an injury- and drama-filled season with the San Antonio Spurs.

Of course, Leonard would squash all doubts about his abilities during a sensational title run. Leonard averaged 30.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.7 steals in 24 postseason games, playing nearly 40 minutes per night as he leads the Raptors to their first NBA title in franchise history.

There was plenty of speculation that Leonard would re-sign with Toronto. The city had shown him an immense amount of love, and the Raptors would almost certainly be considered a top contender to repeat as champions if Leonard elected to stay.

Instead, Leonard sought to play alongside fellow L.A. native Paul George. The Clippers acquired George from the Oklahoma City Thunder on July 6 and signed Leonard just a few hours later, putting together one of the best duos in the league.

Apparently, Leonard's reward for coming to Los Angeles is an early chorus of boos. They must be Lakers fans.
