The NBA All-Star weekend is when fans, especially kids, can meet and greet their favorite players. And if they get lucky, they might also just take home some signed memorabilia from their idols. L.A. Clippers guard Patrick Beverley was among those signing some shirts on Saturday. But he won't give you his autograph if you don't say “please.”

Pat Bev out here instilling good manners into these kids. Beverley is one of the most hard-nosed players in the NBA. And his tough love style of affection just showed here.

Aside from signing autographs, the 6-foot-2 defensive point guard also participated in the Skills Challenge despite dealing with a groin injury leading up to the weekend. Unfortunately, he bowed out early in the opening round, losing to Toronto Raptors All-Star Pascal Siakam.

Beverley will likely just enjoy the rest of the festivities before 24 of the NBA's best players take the floor on the weekend's main event showcase, the annual All-Star game.

Only Kawhi Leonard will represent the Clippers on Sunday night, as Paul George didn't make the coach's cut due to his season-long struggles with injury.

As for the Clippers, they will likely use the rest of the break to rest up from nagging injuries before they get ready for the remainder of the regular season.

L.A. currently holds the no. 3 spot in the Western Conference and is just one game behind the second seeded Denver Nuggets. Beverley has been in and out of the lineup over the course of the season due to injuries, as are some other players on the team, including Paul George. The Clippers will certainly need their entire cast healthy for the postseason run if they want to win their first title in franchise history this June.
