The Jacksonville Jaguars are preparing to enter a decisive offseason for the franchise. The Jaguars have a couple of notable names set to hit free agency and they'll have to make an official decision at the quarterback position.

Despite Nick Foles being a cap hit of $22.1 million in 2020, there's no guarantee he'll be starting in Week 1 next season. Throughout the 2019 season, Gardner Minshew proved that he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

Aside from the quarterback conundrum, the Jaguars are going to have two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Of course, Jacksonville has two first-round picks due to trading Jalen Ramsey during the 2019 season.

With two selections in the first round, the Jaguars will have a chance to fill some of the voids on the roster. Leading up to the draft in April, most people have Jacksonville selecting a defensive lineman and cornerback in mock drafts.

After the first round, Jacksonville will then be on the clock in the second round with the 42nd overall pick.

Provided that, here are two perfect options for the Jaguars with the No. 42 pick in the NFL Draft.

Hunter Bryant

Regardless of who is under center in 2020, the Jaguars need to add a reliable tight end to the offense. Instead of finding a tight end in free agency, Jacksonville should consider selecting one on day two of the draft.

When Foles is at his best, he has a pass-catching tight end available in the aerial attack. For instance, with the Philadelphia Eagles, Foles won a Super Bowl with Zach Ertz and Trey Burton at his disposal.

In the second round, the Jaguars could have a chance to select Hunter Bryant out of Washington. Bryant is a versatile tight end that is capable of being moved around in an offense.

Giving Foles or Minshew a security blanket at tight end would be a wise move for the Jaguars.

Zack Baun

There's a decent chance that Jacksonville is going to lose Yannick Ngakoue in free agency. Even if Ngakoue heads elsewhere in the offseason, the Jaguars still have Calais Campbell and Josh Allen coming off of the edge.

But in today's NFL, you can never have enough edge rushers to deploy on defense. With that in mind, Zack Baun could be a decent choice for the Jaguars with the 42nd overall pick if he's still on the board.

Baun is an edge defender that can be utilized at different positions on defense. Therefore, they could blitz Baun as an inside linebacker on one play and then the next play he could be lined up outside the offensive tackle.

In addition, he's someone that could improve in pass coverage situations.
