The Indianapolis Colts put themselves back on the quarterback market after trading Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders.

Just one year after trading for him, the Colts decided to move on. They received several draft picks from Washington and now have to get back to work finding a quarterback. It's becoming a bit of a trend for them.

Colts star linebacker Darius Leonard shared his take on the Wentz trade.

Although there is some genuine support for his now-former teammate, Leonard took a shot at the team for their rotating quarterback depth chart. When he was drafted by Indianapolis in 2018, Andrew Luck was still under center. After his shocking retirement, the Colts rolled with Jacoby Brissett in 2019 and then signed Philip Rivers for the 2020 season. Now, they will be in their fifth quarterback in five years.

Although the Colts have always been in solid shape in Leonard's tenure — posting only one losing record and making the playoffs twice — they really have to find a solution at the quarterback spot. So many AFC contenders are built on stellar quarterback play, many of which are young stars. With the Denver Broncos' recent addition of Russell Wilson, it'll only get more competitive.

The Colts will also need to find more pass-catching options and a replacement for tackle Eric Fisher, who is on his way out of town. The AFC South could be wide open for them, but they have a lot of key areas to address.
