It's like deja vu all over again in Indianapolis.

According to Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, some teams are “massively skeptical” about Colts quarterback Andrew Luck actually being able to play in Week 1 due the calf issue he has been dealing with and are believing that Jacoby Brissett will start the opener.

Luck initially injured his calf back in April and then re-aggravated the injury in training camp and has not practiced since.

Of course, this has to bring back memories of 2017, when Luck was recovering from shoulder surgery but was widely expected to be ready early in the season, only to suffer multiple setbacks before proceeding to miss the entire year.

Obviously, this issue is a bit less severe, but the fact that Luck's status remains uncertain likely isn't conjuring up good feelings in Indy.

The Colts are considered by many to be Super Bowl contenders heading into the 2019 campaign, but if Luck is not healthy, that definitely changes things.

Luck is coming off of a season in which he played all 16 games for the first time since 2014, throwing for 4,593 yards, 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 67.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 98.7 en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Stanford, was originally selected by Indianapolis with the first overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and has gone on to make four Pro Bowls since, leading the league with 40 touchdown passes in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Colts won 10 games and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this past season.
